Yurt Freya
Named after the Norse goddess, Freya was the goddess of fate, love, beauty, gold, war and fertility.
She was a member of the Vanir and ruled over the heavenly meadow of folkvangr, where half of those who died on the battlefield would go, whilst the other half were guided by the Valkyries to Valhalla.
Yurt Freya is a traditional Mongolian yurt with a little extra. Its bright bold colours and detailed paint work stand out on the untraditional colour, Black.
Black and white yurts are rare and uncommon in a Mongolian yurt, opting for their more bold and stand out colours. Yurt Freya also boast an unconventional layout with a hanging bed, suspended by rope from a wooden frame, the same frame supports two hanging chairs next to the beautiful wood burner. This beautiful setting leaves you with an amazing experience.
Yurt Freya is a totally unique experience that is available nowhere else in Iceland.
Valhalla yurts look forward to seeing you soon.
