Our Yurts, Your Experience
Inside your luxurious Yurt you will find electric, a tempting log burner and a cosy heated bed, the bed in yurt Odin is inspired by The History channels, Vikings. Along side you will also find an antique washbasin stand, chaise longue and coat stand. As you sit on our comfortable beanbags, you can relax and unwind while watching logs burning in the log burner. Why not boil some water on the burner and enjoy a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, it’s your night, your experience. You can also enjoy warm, romantic lighting to set the mood so why not take a moment and lie back on the bed and look up to the Yurts amazing Mongolian ceiling with its traditional paintwork and transparent cap, if your lucky you may see the wonder of the Aurora Borealis shining through. Here, there is no light pollution so the night is dark, the stars are bright and the Northern lights breathtaking.
There is a double bed for two with a choice of a double or two single duvets. We now have Wi-Fi in both Yurts, there is also a selection of board games.
Breakfast is included at a time of your choosing, between 07:30 - 09:00am.
There is safe and secure parking on site at the front of the house, there is a short path to each of the Yurts and to the bathroom, but torches will be supplied.

We are a family business and enjoy giving you a unique and unforgettable memories in the comfort of your own private Yurt within the surroundings of nature. Hear the birds, listen to the rain drops and watch the snowflakes fall. Look out for our resident gang of Rjúpa, they're always about, Listen for the deep clicking made by the males.

Bathroom
In the bathroom you will find a warm feeling from the rustic lantern lighting. Inside there is a fully working hot/cold antique look shower, a hand carved teak sink basin and an Eco toilet with the look and feel of a medieval latrine.
There is also an electric out let for hair drier, straighteners or just to charge your phone.
Everything is clean and fragrant and well maintained.
The completely unique interior of this bathroom and the Yurts will totally enchant you. You will experience nights that will become unforgettable experiences.
Breakfast
Our breakfast is baked fresh that morning and consists of a light but filling start to your day. Should you not wish to eat your breakfast when you wake up, no problem, why not take it with you.
Flasks of tea or coffee can be made for you upon your departure. ( Own flask required )
Northern Lights
We always get asked about the Northern lights, we are in the perfect location to see the northern lights, the Aurora Borealis. The area is pitch black with no light pollution at all, so most nights, you will have your own private light show. But with all things nature, this is not guaranteed. Should we see them and you don't, we will call you to come down and see them.
Polar Stratospheric Clouds (Glitský)
If you are very lucky, you may be treated to an amazing sight, The polar stratospheric clouds, also known in Iceland as Glitský.
This rare and beautiful sight is more elusive than the Aurora Borealis (northern lights) and just as spectacular.
Glitský translates to mean 'glitter clouds'.
These high altitude clouds form at around 15-25 kilometres above in the stratosphere. The stratosphere is the second layer of the atmosphere and is the area that contains the ozone layer.
